Welcome!
A warm word of welcome to this website! I trust you will not only come to know me better, but will find the visit enriching and helpful for yourself.
The goal in my teaching ministry and as a pastor-scholar is that the congregation and students would study the Bible in both a devotional and scholarly manner.
In addition, I agree with Alexander Campbell, the founder of the movement of churches which I serve as a pastor, the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), as he wrote,
"I have no idea of adding to the catalogue of new sects. I labor to see sectarianism abolished and all Christians of every name united upon the one foundation upon which the apostolic church was founded."

Dear Trinity family and friends,
For some folks, Memorial Day is a day to remember that the mail doesn’t come, or what time we are supposed to attend a BBQ and what we signed-up to provide. Unless we attend a special recognition, it would be easy to travel through the day without remembering what we set aside to honor. That is, unless we are one who has lost a family member or close friend in military service. In that case, it is impossible for us not to remember.
Here's what happening this week at Trinity...
1. Prayer Service,
Thursday, May 25, 7pm, Tonight
2. MEN'S BREAKFAST, MAY 27
3. SUNDAY SCHOOL at 9:30am
4. This week in worship
5. New Women's Bible Study, Starting Wednesday June 7, led by Missi Anderson
1. Prayer Service,
Thursday, March 25, 7pm, Tonight
We have a meeting for prayer on the fourth Thursday of the month. These are times of prayer, listening to God, celebration and seeking God. Be with us tonight as we gather for prayer.
2. MEN'S BREAKFAST,

The monthly Men's Breakfast will be held in the café. Call Elder Rich Schachte 412-303-3413 for more information.

Join the women in the social room on Sunday. This group of women loves to pray for each other and their Trinity Family. The fellowship is welcoming and encouraging. Check it out!
4. This week in worship
One of the most difficult virtues to acquire in life is the ability to handle disappointing situations. Some of Jesus' disciples expected him to create a political earthly kingdom to end the oppression of the Roman Empire. They were disappointed. His death on the cross brought all those ideas to an end. But in Acts 1 the Risen Lord asked his followers to go back to Jerusalem and wait...to tarry. Then, a few days later at the Jewish Festival of Pentecost, at 9 o'clock in the morning, the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples, and they were never the same. What Jesus tried to accomplish in three years with his followers, the presence of the Spirit provided in one day! He, the Spirit gave the gifts of forgiveness, power, and love (Acts 1:8; Acts 2:38) and they turned the world upside down (Acts 17:6 KJV). God did not give us the Holy Spirit to do easy things. As we continue to move forward by faith (2 Corinthians 5:7) be with us Sunday morning as we join with the movement of the Spirit in our lives at Trinity. Read John 14:26 and Acts 2:1-21 to prepare for worship.
5. New Women's Bible Study, Starting Wednesday June 7, led by Missi Anderson
Starting June 7 (and every Wednesday) at 6:30 PM in the social room we will be holding a Bible study. The book for this study is called...
“The No-Homework Women’s Bible Study: Group Hug”
This Bible study is supposed to be a fun and lighthearted look at the Bible and how it applies to everyday life. This Bible study is open to and welcoming Women of all ages.
The book can be purchased through Amazon and is inexpensive. Contact Missi Anderson with any questions at 412-313-3482.
