Welcome!

A warm word of welcome to this website! I trust you will not only come to know me better, but will find the visit enriching and helpful for yourself.

The goal in my teaching ministry and as a pastor-scholar is that the congregation and students would study the Bible in both a devotional and scholarly manner.

In addition, I agree with
Alexander Campbell, the founder of the movement of churches which I serve as a pastor, the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), as he wrote,

"I have no idea of adding to the catalogue of new sects. I labor to see sectarianism abolished and all Christians of every name united upon the one foundation upon which the apostolic church was founded."

Joan Paddock Maxwell, Soul Support: Spiritual Encounters at Life’s End (Resource Publications, 2017), 230 pages, ISBN 9781532618741. Dear Trinity family and friends,

I heard a humorous story about a boy who was given a part in a church play. He just had one line and it was Jesus' words when He walked on the water: "It is I, be not afraid." His parents carefully rehearsed the words over and over with him.
On the night of the play the boy walked on the stage and with the big crowd and bright lights he was frightened and forgot his line. When it was his time to

Tell God how you feel, if you are scared, depressed or whatever is eating you on the inside. Can you remember what your child may have first said when they talked? It sounded like jabber, but you knew what they said. Well, you are God's child and when you start talking to the Lord in your own way, you can have an honest and vital relationship with God. Try it and let me know how that goes.

Here's what's happening this week with Trinity...

1. CELEBRATE THE LOVE OF CHRIST—(February 9, Thursday)
2. SUNDAY SCHOOL at 9:30am
3. This week in worship
4. TUESDAY—MEN’S BIBLE STUDY
with Joe Page

1. CELEBRATE THE LOVE OF CHRIST—(February 9, Thursday)
This is a dinner for EVERYONE. Invite your friends, neighbors, community members.
If you have any questions, please contact Elder Linda Claypool at 724-759-5065.

2. SUNDAY SCHOOL at 9:30am
Elder Rich Johnson invites everyone to Sunday School in the Chapel on Sunday mornings at 9:30am to discuss and study the Bible Scripture for each week’s Sermon.

Join the women in the social room on Sunday. This group of women loves to pray for each other and their Trinity Family. The fellowship is welcoming and encouraging. Check it out!

3. This week in worship
As we continue our series on the 10 Commandments, we are on #5
Honor your Father and Mother...

I see this commandment as a bridge commandment. This fifth and important one links us between the first 4, dealing with our relationship with God and commandments 6-10, our relationships with people. As someone once told me, God gave you your family so that you would know how to deal with everyone else.

Be with us Sunday as this commandment, which a rabbi told me, may be the hardest to follow yet has great promise for our lives, church, and community for Christ.

4. TUESDAY—MEN’S BIBLE STUDY
with Joe Page

Join the men in fellowship and study next Tuesday evening at 7pm. We are reading and discussing the book...Knowing Scripture by RC Sproul.

If you would like to participate, contact Joe Page at 724-989-4168.

I’m excited to see you in worship this weekend as we gather to honor God the Father with our worship and hear His holy Word.

In Christ’s love,

Pastor Cletus
